TCG was formed in 2021 in Lindi, Tanzania. The company is planning to operate a cashew nut processing facility to cater to both domestic and international markets. This direct-to export model maximizes value addition within Tanzania and builds strong relationships with international buyers. The planned facility has a capacity to process 9,000 mt of raw cashew nut (RCN) per annum.
The partner growers are members of the Lindi association called Taruchina Cashew Growers Association, covering over 20,000 hectares, with close to 4,000 hectares currently planted with cashew trees. Current production of raw cashew nuts (RCN) is approximately 5,000 metric tons per year, with the total potential of the entire block estimated at about 25,000 metric tons annually.
TCGPLC has obtained a single factory unit export processing zone developer’s license number 319D from Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) for a period of 2 years from August 2025 to August 2027. The license offers incentives such as tax and duty exemptions on construction materials and other capital goods, corporate tax exemptions for a period and other benefits to encourage development of special economic zones infrastructure.
TCG PLC has registered its flagship cashew product, branded as ‘Serengeti Cashewnut’, as a trademark with BRELA and secured a patent for its farm inputs products.
